Community Organizer
Proyecto Vivienda Digna—Renters’ Rights Project Summary: Staff will implement a renters’ rights and fair housing project geared toward low-income Latino immigrants. Duties include: conducting outreach to immigrant community; organizing “know-your-rights” workshops; recruiting and training immigrant tenant leaders; organize immigrant-led tenant associations; and working with associations to change local policies that improve housing conditions. Qualifications:
2. Fluency in Spanish and English. 3. Must be knowledgeable regarding immigration issues. 4. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and in writing. 5. Computer literacy which includes being able to work with word processing, database and publishing programs.
