¿Quiénes Somos?
Because we believe that every person should have the freedom to move in order to pursue a better life, Somos Un Pueblo Unido works to build a community that does not discriminate against people based on their national origin, that institutes humane immigration policies, and that protects the human rights of everyone irrespective of where they are born or what documents they carry.
Somos was founded in 1995 with the purpose of protecting and expanding immigrants’ rights in New Mexico. With a membership base of over 1600 people, we are unique to the state—the only community-based and immigrant-led organization actively committed to preparing immigrant leaders to create institutional change.

Porque creemos que toda persona debe tener la libertad de migrar para buscar una mejor vida, Somos Un Pueblo Unido trabaja para formar una comunidad que no discrimina a las personas por su nacionalidad, que instituya leyes de inmigración humanas y que proteja los derechos humanos de todos sin importar donde nacieron o cuales documentos portan.
Somos fue fundado en 1995 con el propósito de proteger y ampliar los derechos de los inmigrantes en Nuevo México. Con una membresía de más de 1600 personas, Somos es - la única organización con raíces en la comunidad y dirigida por inmigrantes - activamente comprometida a preparar líderes para lograr un cambio social.
